The Kowlas Nala Project (also called Kaulasa Nala Project) is a significant medium irrigation initiative located on the Kaulasa Nala river in Savargaon Village, Jukkal Mandal, Kamareddy District of Telangana, India. This important project was started in 1999 to provide reliable irrigation facilities across approximately 9,000 acres of fertile agricultural land, directly benefiting about 19 villages in the Jukkal and Bichkunda regions, thereby enhancing local farming livelihoods and water security in this part of Telangana. The project sits around 22 km from Jukkal, roughly 90 km from Kamareddy town, and is well connected by road and railways via Hyderabad, the state capital. Positioned amidst the rich rural landscape of northern Telangana, the Kowlas (Kaulasa) Nala Project plays an essential role in supporting agriculture, community development and regional water resource management.
